Annual Summit on how to embrace green business innovation to take place on October 16 at The Crystal in London
BusinessGreen is today officially launching the annual BusinessGreen Leaders Summit, confirming that this year’s flagship conference for green business leaders will take place on October 16th at The Crystal in London’s Docklands.
Tickets are now on sale for the annual event, which will bring together green business leaders, sustainability executives, policymakers, and investors to explore the technology and business model innovations that will drive the next wave of green economic development.
The theme for this year’s Summit is ‘mainstreaming green business innovation’ and the programme will focus on how new approaches are required to deliver deep decarbonisation, circular resource flows, and net zero models. It will also address the opportunities associated with such innovation and the barriers that need to be overcome if businesses are to meet stretching environmental targets.
“This year’s BusinessGreen Leaders Summit will build on our new mission to inform, connect, and inspire the green economy,” said editor-in-chief James Murray. “The day will address one of the biggest challenges facing the green economy: how to embrace and accelerate the innovation that will be essential to meeting critical environmental goals and seizing the opportunities presented by the low carbon transition.
“Once again we will be bringing together some of the most inspiring thought leaders and pioneering firms from across the sector, with a view to providing delegates with the information they need to ramp up their own green business strategies.”
Delegates can expect to hear from a series of leading political and business figures, as well as executives from some of the UK’s leading brands and clean tech firms. Case studies and workshop sessions will also provide delegates with actionable, CPD accredited, insight on how to develop an effective green transformation programme. The full speaker programme will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The 2018 Summit builds on the success of last year’s inaugural event, which saw around 200 senior green business figures gather to hear from a host of cutting edge speakers, including Jonathon Porritt, Dr Emily Shuckburgh, and representatives from the likes of Tesla, IKEA, and Carlsberg.
‘Early bird’ rates are currently available for delegates while attendance is free for subscribers to the BusinessGreen Leaders Package.
Sponsor packages are also currently available and offer a wide range of benefits to interested parties.
